Nvidia Joins India's $1B AI Mission With Free Enterprise Software and Startup Backing

Nvidia joined India's $1 billion IndiaAI Mission to boost compute capacity, develop sovereign datasets and build AI models, granting institutions free Nvidia AI Enterprise software and mentorship. It also partnered with Peak XV and Accel India to back AI startups and expanded its Inception program to over 4,000 local ventures.

1. Partnership With IndiaAI Mission

Nvidia is collaborating with the IndiaAI Mission, a $1 billion national drive to enhance the country’s AI infrastructure. The program focuses on expanding high-performance computing capacity, creating sovereign data sets and developing frontier AI models to support research and industry needs.

2. Software Access and Mentorship

Select research institutions will receive complimentary Nvidia AI Enterprise software licenses and access to technical mentorship through Nvidia’s AI Technology Center. The initiative includes hands-on training via bootcamps and hackathons to accelerate AI research in science and engineering disciplines.

3. Venture Capital Alliances

Nvidia has formed alliances with Peak XV Partners and Accel India to identify and support promising AI startups. These collaborations aim to provide capital, strategic guidance and access to Nvidia’s ecosystem for ventures building next-generation AI solutions.

4. Inception Program Expansion

The company extended its Inception accelerator network in India to more than 4,000 startups. Participants gain access to development resources, co-marketing opportunities and early access to Nvidia technologies to help scale their AI applications.
