1. Multiyear Supply Deal with Meta
Nvidia has entered a multiyear agreement to deliver millions of its current Blackwell architecture and forthcoming Rubin AI chips to Meta. The deal also includes standalone installations of Grace and Vera CPUs, leveraging Arm technology to boost high-intensity data processing and database tasks, with early Vera tests already underway.
2. Scaled-Down OpenAI Investment
Nvidia is preparing a $30 billion investment in OpenAI, reduced from an initial $100 billion plan, to participate in a funding round valuing OpenAI at roughly $850 billion. CEO Jensen Huang reaffirmed commitment to the generative AI leader, highlighting the strategic importance of holding a significant stake in OpenAI’s infrastructure build-out.
