Nvidia partnered with Australian cloud and data center providers to expand AI factory capacity built on its DSX platform.
- The plan targets up to a 2-gigawatt buildout by 2027 to meet rising demand for AI compute in Australia.
- Partners will operate the facilities; Nvidia will supply DSX infrastructure, accelerated computing, networking, software, reference designs, and ecosystem support.
- The collaboration includes Firmus, Sharon AI, IREN, ResetData, and CDC, with NEXTDC and AirTrunk in the broader buildout group.
- The effort also expands access to Nvidia Nemotron open models for local AI development by startups, universities, researchers, and enterprises.
