Nvidia Resumes H200 Chip Production, Eyes $1 Trillion AI Revenue By 2027
Nvidia has resumed production of its H200 AI chip design after securing US export licenses to China, with manufacturing restarting several weeks ago. CEO Jensen Huang also projected a combined revenue opportunity exceeding $1 trillion by end-2027 for its Blackwell and Rubin AI processors.
1. Resumption of H200 Chip Production
After securing U.S. export licenses, Nvidia began manufacturing its Hopper-based H200 AI chip for China again several weeks ago, reversing last year’s production halt due to export restrictions.
2. $1 Trillion AI Chip Revenue Forecast
CEO Jensen Huang projected that revenue from Nvidia’s flagship Blackwell and Rubin AI chips will surpass $1 trillion by the end of 2027, excluding networking chips, CPUs and Groq-licensed processors.
3. Groq Licensing Excluded from Forecast
Nvidia’s December deal to license Groq technology supports future chip designs, but processors based on this technology, including the Rubin Ultra variant, are not counted in the $1 trillion revenue opportunity.
