Nvidia to Deliver 1M GPUs and Networking Chips to AWS by 2027

NVDANVDA

Nvidia will deliver one million GPUs to AWS between 2026 and 2027, plus Spectrum networking chips and Groq processors under a new cloud computing partnership. Super Micro’s shares plunged 25% after its co-founder was charged with illegally exporting Nvidia chips to China, highlighting potential distribution risks.

1. AWS Partnership Details

Nvidia has committed to supplying Amazon Web Services with one million GPUs over the next two years, beginning in 2026 and running through 2027. This marks Nvidia’s first official delivery timeline for its broad hyperscale collaboration with AWS.

2. Expanded Chip and Networking Portfolio

Beyond GPUs, the agreement includes Nvidia’s Spectrum and Connect X networking equipment as well as Groq processors acquired through a $17 billion licensing deal. AWS will deploy this multi-chip configuration to optimize AI inference workloads across its data centers.

3. Trillion-Dollar Sales Opportunity

CEO Jensen Huang projects a $1 trillion sales opportunity for Nvidia’s Rubin and Blackwell chip families by 2027, excluding networking chips and Groq-based products. Integration of Groq chips could unlock an additional $300 billion in annual revenue per gigawatt according to internal estimates.

4. Distribution and Compliance Risk

Super Micro’s stock fell 25% after its co-founder was charged with a scheme to ship Nvidia chips to China in violation of export controls. The legal action underscores potential risks for Nvidia’s distribution partners and could prompt tighter compliance measures.
