Nvidia will boost its annual investment in Taiwan from $100 billion to $150 billion to support its AI hardware ecosystem and fund a new office for 4,000 engineers. This expansion deepens partnerships with TSMC and Foxconn and underlines Nvidia’s leadership in global AI chip production.
Nvidia is raising its annual spending in Taiwan from $100 billion to $150 billion to strengthen its AI hardware manufacturing and support services. CEO Jensen Huang described Taiwan as the epicentre of the AI revolution and emphasized the island’s critical role in Nvidia’s supply chain.
The increased investment will fuel co-engineering collaborations with key partners such as TSMC, which fabricates Nvidia’s advanced chip designs, and Foxconn, which assembles the processors into data centre servers. Nvidia aims to bolster the entire semiconductor ecosystem and accelerate AI infrastructure development.
As part of the investment, Nvidia is building a new office in Taipei designed to house around 4,000 engineers. This facility will serve as a hub for research, development and joint engineering projects, ensuring sustained innovation and support for global AI deployments.
