Nvidia's Huang hails Europe's AI potential, flanked by robot ducks
NVDA•Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said Europe's engineering expertise gives it an edge in physical AI and robotics as the company announced expanded partnerships with European manufacturers and startups. Nvidia said it has committed nearly $10 billion to Europe's technology ecosystem, while Germany's Agile Robots plans to produce 1,000 to 2,000 humanoids next year with Nvidia.
1. Europe's robotics opportunity
Huang said Europe could play a central role in AI by producing the technology, citing the region's expertise in mechatronics, electronics and mechanical systems. At Nvidia's GTC conference in Berlin, he shared the stage with AI-trained duck-shaped robots developed by French startup Pollen Robotics in collaboration with Hugging Face.
2. Partnership and production plans
Germany's Agile Robots plans to produce 1,000 to 2,000 petite humanoids next year in collaboration with Nvidia, CEO Zhaopeng Chen told Reuters. Production is due to begin late this year. Nvidia said it has committed nearly $10 billion to Europe's technology ecosystem.
3. Factory data center design
Nvidia also showcased a DSX POD design for factory-built data center modules using its Vera Rubin platform. The company said the modules could be deployed in as little as two weeks, down from six months.
