Neurocrine received FDA IND acceptance for a Phase 2 study of NBI-1117567 targeting cognition in Alzheimer’s disease in Q3 FY2026.
No trial results were presented; the update relates to the start of a mid-stage clinical program.
Nxera will receive a USD 10 million milestone payment, expected to be recognized as revenue in Q3 FY2026.
The drug is an oral, muscarinic M1-preferring agonist discovered by Nxera, developed under a multi-program collaboration with Neurocrine.
Nxera retains development and commercialization rights for the M1 receptor agonist in Japan across all indications.
