Oculis completes randomization in PREDICT-1 trial of licaminlimab for dry eye disease
OCS•Oculis completed randomization of 176 patients in its PREDICT-1 trial of licaminlimab for dry eye disease; two-thirds carry the targeted TNFR1 genetic variant. Topline results are expected around year-end 2026.
1. Trial enrollment complete
Oculis completed randomization in PREDICT-1, its first genotype-guided registrational trial of licaminlimab for dry eye disease. The study enrolled 176 patients, two-thirds of whom carry the TNFR1 genetic variant associated with stronger responses in earlier trials. It evaluates symptom relief versus vehicle, with topline results expected around year-end 2026.
2. Earlier results and market
Earlier Phase 2 studies showed improvements in dry eye signs and symptoms, with greater responses among patients carrying the variant. The potential US market includes 1.3 million to 1.9 million patients with moderate-to-severe disease who carry the relevant variant.
