Oculis reports Phase 2 biomarker data supporting Privosegtor’s neuroprotective potential in optic neuritis
OCS•Oculis reported Phase 2 ACUITY results showing treated patients had smaller increases in blood markers associated with nerve damage and inflammation than placebo recipients. The findings reinforce previously reported improvements in visual function and retinal structure.
1. Biomarker findings
Oculis reported new Phase 2 ACUITY biomarker results supporting privosegtor’s potential to protect nerves in patients with optic neuritis. Treated patients showed smaller increases in blood markers associated with nerve damage and inflammatory responses than those receiving placebo.
2. Further development
The findings reinforce previously reported improvements in visual function and preservation of retinal structure. Results were presented at the ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS joint meeting, MSToronto 2026. Privosegtor remains investigational in the PIONEER registration program, and Oculis plans a clinical trial application targeting acute multiple sclerosis relapses.
