OTHOTH

Off The Hook Yachts closed its acquisition of Apex Marine Companies, adding Florida facilities with haul-out capacity of 150 metric tons for vessels up to 130 feet. The deal is generating millions of dollars in annual cost savings through internal refurbishment, reduced transportation costs and faster turnaround.

1. Acquisition Details

On May 14, Off The Hook Yachts completed its purchase of Apex Marine Companies, securing strategically located South Florida service, storage and sales operations. Apex’s facilities include prime haul-out infrastructure capable of handling vessels up to 130 feet and lifting capacity of up to 150 metric tons.

2. Operational Enhancements

The integration creates an in-house service team covering repair, refit, and refurbishment, enabling the company to process most acquired inventory internally. Management projects millions in annual cost savings through reduced third-party dependencies, lower transportation expenses and accelerated turnaround times.

3. Strategic Impact

The centralized Florida campus offers buyers access to tens of millions of dollars in inventory at a single location near Fort Lauderdale and Miami. This expansion positions the company to standardize refurbishment quality, scale inventory without proportional overhead increases and strengthen its global sales reach.
