OGE Energy named John Laws chief operating officer of utility unit OG&E, effective Jan. 4, 2027. Laws has been OG&E’s chief commercial officer since January 2026.

1. Laws’ experience

Laws previously served as Oklahoma’s secretary of budget and state chief financial officer from October 2022 to December 2024. From January 2016 to December 2021, he was executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer at Enable Midstream Partners.
