Big oil and oilfield services names decline
Top oil and gas firms ExxonMobil XOM.N and Chevron CVX.N fell 2.1% and 1.8%, respectively.
ConocoPhillips COP.N, EOG Resources EOG.N, Occidental Petroleum OXY.N and Diamondback Energy FANG.O were down between 4.1% and 8%, among the biggest percentage decliners on the energy index.
Oilfield services firm SLB SLB.N slipped 1.5%, and Halliburton HAL.N fell 1.2%.
