Okta signs deal to acquire identity security platform Permiso Security

Okta agreed to buy Permiso Security, a cloud-native identity security platform focused on threat detection and response across human, non-human, and AI agent identities.

The deal aims to add identity risk signals, behavioral analytics, and threat detections to expand Okta’s identity threat detection and response capabilities.

Permiso brings more than 2,500 signals across 70+ identity partners to spot issues such as overprivileged access and anomalous agent behavior.

The transaction is expected to close in Okta’s fiscal 2027 third quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.

Okta expects no change to guidance issued May 27, 2026.
