Ascentage Pharma’s Olverembatinib Hits 91.3% CCyR, 91% CR/CRi in Combo
AAPG•At ASCO 2026, Ascentage Pharma reported that olverembatinib achieved a 91.3% CCyR and 60.9% MMR at cycle 24 in CML-CP patients with no new safety signals. A Phase Ib combination with blinatumomab in CML-LBP and Ph+ BCP-ALL delivered 91% CR/CRi, 67% BCR-ABL1 PCR negativity and 80% MRD clearance.
1. Cycle 24 Data in Second-Line CML-CP
At cycle 24, Ascentage Pharma’s BCR-ABL1 inhibitor olverembatinib achieved a 91.3% complete cytogenetic response and 60.9% major molecular response in chronic-phase CML patients who failed first-line TKI therapy, with no new safety signals and stable long-term tolerability.
2. Phase Ib Combo Trial in Blast Phase Leukemias
In combination with blinatumomab, olverembatinib yielded a 91% complete response or CRi rate, 67% BCR-ABL1 PCR negativity and 80% MRD clearance in relapsed/refractory Ph+ BCP-ALL and CML blast phase patients, with most adverse events limited to manageable grade 1-2 toxicities.
3. Ongoing Phase III Trials and Licensing Strategy
Ascentage Pharma has initiated three global registrational Phase III studies for olverembatinib in CML-CP, Ph+ ALL and SDH-deficient GIST, and holds an exclusive option agreement with Takeda for licensing global rights outside Greater China pending exercise of the option.
