OMA launched a transition plan at Monterrey airport featuring about 15,000 solar panels, with a target capacity of 8.7 MW and annual production of 12.8 GWh. The airport’s battery storage capacity will expand to 49 MWh from 9 MWh to cut peak demand, manage output and support critical loads. OMA reported that its CO₂ emissions per passenger fell 55% in 2023, exceeding its 2025 target of 48%.
