Omega Flex Unveils Silicone-Covered TracPipe Fittings, 3/8″–2″ Sizes
OFLX•Omega Flex has redesigned its TracPipe flexible gas piping fittings with a silicone cover and contractor-friendly features to prevent exposed stainless steel and simplify installations. The new fittings, available in sizes from 3/8″ to 2″ for both TracPipe and PSII systems, will replace AutoFlare fittings by end-2026.
1. Redesigned Fittings Features
Omega Flex re-engineered its TracPipe system fittings by adding a silicone cover over joints to eliminate exposed stainless steel, integrating distinct contractor-friendly features for intuitive, efficient and consistent installations. Larger 1¼″–2″ fittings now feature a four-bolt design requiring less torque and swivel technology to relieve hose torsion.
2. Compatibility and Size Coverage
The updated fittings support both TracPipe and underground PSII systems across sizes from 3/8″ to 2″, suitable for natural gas and propane in single- and multi-family residential, commercial and industrial buildings. An adaptable design allows easy transitions to wall boxes, steel floor flanges and direct appliance connections, streamlining product selection.
3. Rollout Timeline and Impact
Omega Flex will phase out legacy AutoFlare fittings by the end of 2026 and is offering free installer training along with online assembly videos to accelerate adoption. The streamlined installation process and enhanced safety features aim to boost contractor preference, drive uptake of TracPipe systems and support incremental sales growth.
