Oncolytics Biotech reported that responses to pelareorep combined with atezolizumab lasted longer than historical results for FDA-approved retifanlimab monotherapy. The company said the findings support further development of the combination.

Following FDA Fast Track designation, additional studies with a potential checkpoint inhibitor partner could support registration, including possible accelerated approval. A similar combination study in HPV-associated head and neck cancer is under consideration.
