Ondas Secures $10M Autonomous Systems Orders, Rebrands and Moves HQ to Florida

ONDSONDS

Ondas won $10M in autonomous systems orders, rebranded its business, relocated headquarters to Florida and set an Investor Day for Jan. 16. Its 2025 revenue target relies chiefly on the Ondas Autonomous Systems division, with network sales staying modest until dot16 rail adoption expected in 2026.

1. 2025 Revenue Outlook Driven by OAS

Ondas has set an ambitious 2025 revenue target of $60 million, largely dependent on its Onboard Autonomous Systems (OAS) division. Management projects that OAS will contribute approximately $55 million, representing more than 90% of total revenue for the year. This guidance assumes continued deployment of drone-based command-and-control solutions for defense customers and expanded trials with two major U.S. military branches. The company’s gross margin on OAS contracts remains slim at just over 10%, but executives expect incremental margin expansion as production scales and fixed costs are absorbed.

2. Surge on Autonomous Systems Orders and Strategic Initiatives

On January 5, Ondas reported $10 million in new autonomous systems orders from three defense integrators, a 25% increase in backlog compared with the prior quarter. The news coincided with a corporate rebrand and the relocation of headquarters to Florida, moves designed to enhance proximity to key naval and aerospace clients. Trading volume spiked to 140 million shares, roughly 60% above the three-month average. Ondas also announced an Investor Day on January 16, during which leadership plans to deliver detailed updates on OAS product roadmaps and profitability timelines.

3. Network Segment to Scale Post-2026 Rail Adoption

While the company’s private wireless Networks business is forecast to contribute only $5 million in revenue in 2025, management anticipates a meaningful ramp in 2026 once the dot16 rail standard gains regulatory approval. Ondas has secured preliminary agreements with two Class I rail operators for base-station deployments scheduled for Q3 2026. These contracts include five-year service-level commitments and are expected to boost Networks revenue to $20 million by fiscal year-end 2027. Until then, Networks will remain a modest portion of Ondas’ top line but serves as a strategic beachhead for broader industrial IoT applications.
