While $10 million represents a modest share of Ondas’ nearly $7.2 billion in 2024 revenue, it demonstrates the company’s ability to capture niche growth opportunities within its Autonomous Systems business unit. The new orders build on a record year in 2025 for Ondas, reinforcing its footprint across counter-UAS, unmanned ground vehicles and integrated drone deployments. Gross margins for the segment have improved by over 150 basis points year-over-year, reflecting higher-margin product mix and operational leverage.

In December, Ondas completed the acquisition of a ground robotics firm to bolster its robotic ground platform capabilities and appointed retired Army Brigadier General John Edwards as Chief Operating Officer. These moves enhance the company’s ability to deliver end-to-end autonomous solutions at scale. CEO Eric Brock noted that Ondas now boasts one of the strongest balance sheets in the defense technology sector, enabling it to accelerate development of large-scale projects such as a planned border-protection drone network expected to deploy thousands of units beginning January 2026.

With a diversified customer base spanning domestic and international government agencies, Ondas is positioned to benefit from rising defense budgets and expanding critical infrastructure protection programs. Management forecasts additional purchase orders in excess of $20 million for early 2026, driven by upcoming government tenders for autonomous surveillance and counter-drone systems. Investors should monitor follow-on contract announcements and margin progression as indicators of sustained growth potential.
