onsemi partners with Sungrow to supply EliteSiC hybrid modules for PowerTitan 3.0 energy storage platform
ON•onsemi will supply EliteSiC hybrid power modules for Sungrow’s PowerTitan 3.0 platform. The collaboration targets a 0.4% inverter-efficiency increase, which onsemi estimates could save more than 475 MWh annually at a 100 MW installation; Sungrow expects to deliver 10 GWh of systems across Europe in 2026.
1. Efficiency gains
The technology collaboration will integrate onsemi’s EliteSiC hybrid power modules into Sungrow’s PowerTitan 3.0 energy storage platform. The integration targets a 0.4% increase in inverter-level efficiency versus the prior platform. onsemi estimates that the gain could save more than 475 MWh per year for a 100 MW battery storage installation.
2. Deployment plans
The architecture supports power conversion units rated up to 450 kW. Sungrow expects to deliver 10 GWh of PowerTitan 3.0 systems across Europe in 2026.
