OpenAI slows research scaling after Hugging Face incident
Immediately after the Hugging Face incident, OpenAI said it paused frontier model inference in research clusters for runs that could execute code, according to its website.
The company also temporarily slowed the pace of scaling, including a two-week pause in reinforcement learning training on latest models intended for deployment.
OpenAI said its largest planned frontier RL run remains on hold pending safety validation.
