Opus Genetics Q2 FY26 net loss widens to $8.1 million; revenue drops to $755,000

Opus Genetics posted a net loss of $8.1 million, or $0.08 per basic share, for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Revenue fell 73.8% to $755,000, on lower license and collaborations revenue tied primarily to its Viatris reimbursement arrangement.
Research and development expense rose 86.1% to $11.21 million, due to higher manufacturing and clinical costs, partly offset by lower phentolamine program costs.
Cash position and program updates
Cash and cash equivalents climbed to $88.81 million at June 30, with runway into 2029 expected including potential Oberland facility funding.
OPGx-BEST1 Cohort 1 topline data is expected in the second week of September; OPGx-LCA5 Phase 3 enrollment completed, and dosing is planned for Q4.
