Oracle’s Opower platform now serves 45 million North American households through AI-driven Home Energy Reports, proactive alerts and digital self-service tools, delivering 44.23 TWh in total energy savings and nearly $4.3 billion in customer bill reductions since 2009. The platform has dispatched 3.5 billion personalized messages and enrolled 44.6 million households in energy programs.
2. Evergy Partnership Drives Rate Adoption and Cost Savings
Evergy’s collaboration with Opower reached 1.4 million residential customers, supporting a default time-of-use rate transition that pre-enrolled 30% of customers and achieved 80% digital self-service enrollment. This seamless engagement helped Evergy avoid more than $2 million in call center costs while enhancing customer experience with behavioral load shaping and rate education.
3. Oracle Unveils Advanced AI Utilities Features
At its Customer Edge Summit, Oracle introduced new AI utilities solutions, including GenAI Asset Summarization for proactive asset risk detection, AI-powered anomaly billing detection, and an affordability solution for personalized assistance programs. The updated Utilities AI Data Platform and Business Customer Engagement suite now serves 4.6 million non-residential sites, boosting customer confidence and reducing billing inquiries by 7 percentage points.
