OraSure rises after Bundibugyo Ebola test receives US FDA emergency use nod

OraSure said the test can detect all four Ebola viruses currently known to cause disease in humans: Bundibugyo, Zaire, Sudan, and Taï Forest.
More than 2,000 Ebola cases and nearly 1,000 deaths have been recorded in Congo, with the epidemic caused by the Bundibugyo strain of the virus.
Up to the previous close, the stock had risen 57% year to date.
OraSure shares rise after FDA emergency use authorization
Shares of diagnostic test maker OraSure Technologies rose 4.2% to $3.96 in premarket trading after the company said it received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the U.S. FDA for its second-generation OraQuick Ebola 2.0 Rapid Antigen Test for use with whole blood in live patients.
The test can also be used in cadaveric oral fluid from individuals suspected to have had Ebola disease at the time of death.
