Oric Pharmaceuticals initiated Himalayas-1, a global Phase 3 registrational trial of rinzimetostat in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer previously treated with abiraterone.
The study will test rinzimetostat with Bayer’s NUBEQA (darolutamide) versus physician’s choice of an AR inhibitor or docetaxel, targeting delayed disease worsening.
Development rights and cash position
Bayer will supply darolutamide at no cost; Oric retains full global development and commercial rights to rinzimetostat.
A rinzimetostat program update is expected in 2H 2026; no new clinical results were reported in the filing.
Cash and investments totaled $387.6 million as of June 30, 2026; runway is forecast into 2H 2028, beyond the first Phase 3 readout.
