ORIC•ORIC Pharmaceuticals plans to begin a global Phase 3 trial of enozertinib in first-line EGFR atypical lung cancer in the first half of 2027. The study will enroll about 360 patients and compare the drug with physician-selected osimertinib or afatinib.
1. Planned Phase 3 trial
ORIC Pharmaceuticals plans to start Redwood-1, a global Phase 3 trial of enozertinib in first-line EGFR atypical lung cancer, in the first half of 2027. The study will enroll approximately 360 patients and compare enozertinib with physician-selected osimertinib or afatinib.
2. Phase 1b findings
Phase 1b results presented at the ESMO Congress 2026 showed tumor shrinkage, including in brain metastases, with some brain tumors disappearing completely. Treatment-related side effects caused no discontinuations, while survival and response-duration findings remain immature. Response results could support accelerated approval, while progression-free survival will underpin the full-approval assessment.
