Ormat selected for up to $25 million in DOE funding for Dixie Valley EGS project in Nevada
ORA•Ormat was selected for up to approximately $35 million in DOE funding for geothermal development at Dixie Valley, Nevada, and Cove Fort, Utah. The awards remain subject to completion of DOE award negotiations.
1. Funding selections
The Dixie Valley EGS project is slated for up to $25 million to support design, drilling, testing and validation of an EGS doublet. The Cove Fort hydrothermal program is targeted for up to $9.7 million for drilling and subsurface characterization in carbonate formations.
