1. Quarterly results
Otter Tail’s third-quarter diluted EPS fell year over year to $1.41, and operating revenue declined 1.6%. Lower fuel recovery revenue and higher production tax credits weighed on the electric segment, partly offset by rate increases and favorable weather. Lower sales volumes, declining PVC pipe prices and a softer housing market hurt plastics, while higher sales volumes and improved end-market demand lifted manufacturing revenue.
2. 2026 outlook
The company narrowed its 2026 diluted EPS guidance to $3.89-$4.19 and adjusted diluted EPS guidance to $5.73-$6.03, maintaining the midpoint of both ranges. It said inflationary cost pressures and rising customer demand remain challenges.
