PacBio names new CEO and board member

Pacific Biosciences appointed Chief Operating Officer Mark Van Oene as president and CEO, effective Aug. 5, 2026.
Van Oene succeeds Christian Henry, who stepped down as president and CEO after six years.
Van Oene joined PacBio in 2021 as COO, leading operational execution, commercial strategy, product roadmap, clinical development, and AI-related improvements.
Van Oene was appointed to the board, effective Aug. 5, 2026.
