Palo Alto falls despite Q4 beat

Palo Alto Networks said it is acquiring AI-native platform Console.
"The company continues to execute well, and its Console acquisition should bolster its AI agent capabilities as enterprises adopt more natural ways of interacting with data," said Jamie Meyers, senior analyst at Laffer Tengler Investments.
Shares have surged about 96.6% year to date, far outpacing the Nasdaq's 12.3% rise.
Shares slip after earnings beat and guidance raise
Palo Alto Networks shares fell 1.6% to $356.21 in pre-market trading after the company beat fourth-quarter estimates, issued strong FY27 guidance and announced an acquisition.
The company posted fourth-quarter revenue of $3.41 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $1.02, both above analyst estimates per LSEG data. It also guided FY27 revenue and profit above expectations.
