Palo Alto Networks, Deutsche Telekom Launch Sovereign Cortex with EU Data Controls
PANW•Palo Alto Networks and Deutsche Telekom unveiled Sovereign Cortex with T Security to deliver the Cortex AI-driven SecOps platform with independent data sovereignty controls for Europe’s most regulated industries. It offers healthcare, finance, public sector and critical infrastructure customers encryption key control, audited access logs and Europe-based support.
1. Partnership Launch
Palo Alto Networks and Deutsche Telekom have partnered to introduce Sovereign Cortex with T Security, integrating Palo Alto’s Cortex AI-driven SecOps platform with Deutsche Telekom as the independent trust anchor. This collaboration positions the solution to meet stringent European sovereignty requirements while delivering real-time threat detection and response.
2. Sovereignty Controls
Sovereign Cortex provides layered controls including in-region data residency, encryption key management, independently audited access logs and support personnel based exclusively in Europe. These measures address NIS2, DORA and GDPR mandates by ensuring demonstrable governance over data access, encryption and provider operations.
3. Availability and Outlook
The initial release is slated for Q3 2026, targeting healthcare, financial services, public sector and critical infrastructure organisations. Broader industry availability will follow, with the offering designed to evolve alongside future European sovereignty frameworks and customer requirements.
