Pan American Silver Discovers Four Veins Extending 500m at La Colorada, 9,730g/t Intercept
Pan American Silver’s exploration drilling at La Colorada mine in Zacatecas identified four new veins—Filomena, Nicolasa, Bernardina and Josefina—adding 500m strike and 500m vertical to the Candelaria structural cluster. Key intercepts include 11.60m @ 241g/t silver, 0.81g/t gold, 2.08% lead and 1.03m @ 9,730g/t silver, 6.19g/t gold.
1. Four New Veins Discovered
Pan American Silver’s drilling campaign from November 2025 to January 2026 at the La Colorada mine in Zacatecas uncovered four new veins—Filomena, Nicolasa, Bernardina and Josefina—within the south-eastern Candelaria zone. These veins form part of a 2,500m strike cluster and extend roughly 500m strike and 500m vertical, enhancing the mine’s mineralised footprint.
2. High-Grade Drilling Intercepts
The campaign drilled 17,774m across 38 holes, delivering significant results such as hole S-153-25 with 11.60m at 241g/t silver, 0.81g/t gold, 2.08% lead and 4.48% zinc, and hole S-161-25 with 1.03m at 9,730g/t silver, 6.19g/t gold, 2.62% lead and 5.67% zinc. Additional intersections in La Chona Breccia and eastern Mariana extensions reinforced the zone’s high-grade potential.
3. Ongoing Expansion and Resource Update
Pan American Silver is advancing crosscuts on Levels 588 and 448 and conducting infill and extensional drilling to further delineate these veins. Results will feed into an updated mineral reserve and resource statement as of June 30, 2026.
