Pathos AI teams up with Bristol Myers and Tempus AI to advance drug development
TEM•Pathos AI said it entered a collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb and Tempus AI to develop AI tools for neurological drug development. Pathos also raised $237 million in a Series E round led by Bristol Myers, valuing the company at about $3 billion.
1. Collaboration and funding
Tempus will build a dataset from hundreds of thousands of patients with neurological disorders, and Pathos will license the data under a five-year, $55 million agreement. Pathos plans to use its Pathos Foundry platform to study the dataset, generate and test hypotheses about disease biology, and inform clinical-trial design.
2. Platform access and pipeline
Bristol Myers will receive non-exclusive strategic access to Pathos Foundry across its broader portfolio and three-year exclusive rights to use the platform for its neuroscience development programs. Pathos said funding will support the platform and its AI-driven pipeline, including experimental cancer drug JSKN016 and other cancer programs, among them an AstraZeneca-partnered experimental breast cancer drug.
