Peoples Bancorp and Capital Bancorp announce merger agreement
PEBO•Peoples Bancorp will buy Capital Bancorp in an all-stock deal valued at about $728.10 million, or $43.75 per share based on a $39.41 price. Capital shareholders will receive 1.11 Peoples shares for each Capital share.

Peoples Bancorp will acquire Capital Bancorp in an all-stock deal valued at about $728.10 million. Capital shareholders will receive 1.11 shares of Peoples for each Capital share, valuing the deal at $43.75 per share based on a $39.41 price.
2. Board and earnings details
Three Capital board members are expected to join the Peoples board after closing. Former Capital shareholders are expected to own about 32% of Peoples after the merger. The deal is expected to be accretive to Peoples' estimated 2027 earnings before one-time costs.
