PepsiCo expands AI, regenerative agriculture tools to boost farm resilience
PEP•PepsiCo said it is expanding the use of AI alongside regenerative agriculture in its supply chain to improve farm resilience, including through partnerships with ag-tech providers and a pilot at an Alberta potato farm.
1. Expanded farm tools
PepsiCo is expanding the use of AI with regenerative agriculture to bolster farm resilience in its supply chain. The program targets soil health gains, more efficient resource use, earlier risk detection, faster responses and greater precision in farm decisions. Work includes partnerships with AgroScout, CropX and Grimme, and highlights Perry Family Farm in Alberta, a long-time Lay’s potato supplier, as a pilot for regenerative practices.
