Perpetua Resources, the U.S. Army, and Idaho National Laboratory opened a modular antimony processing pilot plant in Idaho Falls on July 29, 2026.
- Facility targets production of high-quality antimony trisulfide using material from the Stibnite Gold Project to support a domestic “ground-to-round” supply chain.
- Project aims to reduce U.S. reliance on China and Russia; China halted U.S. supply of specialized antimony trisulfide in 2021.
- Stibnite Gold Project received final federal approvals in 2025; early works construction is underway to develop gold output alongside antimony.
- Since 2022, Perpetua has received over $87 million in U.S. Department of War and U.S. Army funding, including more than $59 million under Defense Production Act Title III.
