P&G agrees to acquire wellness supplements maker Thorne

Procter & Gamble agreed to acquire Thorne, a science-backed health and wellness brand, under a definitive agreement.

The deal is expected to close later this year, subject to customary closing conditions.

P&G will buy Thorne from L Catterton's Flagship Fund.

The transaction expands P&G's Personal Health Care business into premium wellness and personalized health.
