Pharmaceutical lobby sues Trump administration over most favored nation pricing
XLV•PhRMA sued the Trump administration on Wednesday to invalidate the GLOBE rule, which would base Medicare Part B hospital drug prices on prices in comparable countries.
1. Challenge to pricing rule
The pharmaceutical industry's top lobby group, PhRMA, sued Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., HHS, CMS and other officials in federal court in Washington, arguing the rule is an illegal overreach. The rule outlines how a most favored nation pricing system based on prices in comparable countries would be integrated into Medicare Part B.
