Phillips 66 Reports Unit Process Upset due to lightning at Sweeny, Texas, facility
PSX•Sweeny refinery unit experiences process upset
July 24 (Reuters) - Phillips 66 PSX.N on Friday reported that Unit 35 of its 264,500 barrels per day Sweeny, Texas, refinery and Petrochemical Complex experienced a process upset during a lightning storm from Tropical Storm Bertha, according to a Texas Commission On Environmental Quality filing.
The filing added that the company reported emissions from Coker Flare 29-61-1. The company added that "operations worked to stabilize the unit in order to return to normal operating conditions."
