Phoenix Education Partners appoints Robert Brackenbury to board as Class I director

Phoenix Education Partners appointed Robert Brackenbury to its board on July 9, 2026, as a Class I director.
Brackenbury will join the board’s audit committee.
He previously spent 2010–2026 at the State of Michigan Retirement System, most recently as deputy chief investment officer overseeing more than $170 billion.
Earlier roles included State Tax Tribunal judge, assistant attorney general, senior administrator at Eastern Michigan University, and U.S. Army officer.
He also serves on the board of Athene Holding.
