Pilgrim's Pride agreed to buy Walkers Deli & Sausage from Samworth Brothers, expanding its UK value-added premium pork business.
Walkers operates four production facilities on one Leicester site, employing about 1,150 people, with a heritage dating to 1824.
The deal builds on an existing supply relationship, with Pilgrim's already providing some of Walkers’ raw pork requirements.
Walkers supplies major UK retailers with premium pork products, including sausages, cooked meats, bacon, and snacking lines.
