Pilgrims Pride reported third-quarter sales of $4.65 billion, compared with the $4.63 billion analyst estimate. Adjusted EPS was $0.49 versus a $0.56 estimate, and adjusted EBITDA was $316.3 million versus $345.6 million; adjusted EBITDA margin was 6.8%.
The company said improved product mix and operational efficiency helped offset lower commodity values in its U.S. Fresh segment. U.S. Prepared Foods volume rose more than 15% year on year, led by Just Bare, while Europe sales and volumes were stable and margins compressed amid input cost inflation and excess pork imports. Pilgrims expects to commission its new Georgia prepared foods facility in the second half of 2027 and anticipates closing its Walkers Deli & Sausage acquisition in early 2027.
