Plug Power Completes 32-Ton Green Hydrogen Fill on 32 km Pipeline

Plug Power completed the first hydrogen fill of a 32-kilometer Netherlands pipeline, delivering 32 tons of RFNBO-certified renewable green hydrogen using custom purge-and-fill infrastructure. It also installed a 100MW GenEco electrolyzer at Portugal’s Galp Sines, projected to produce up to 15,000 tons of renewable hydrogen annually.

1. Special Meeting Rescheduled

On February 11, Plug Power advanced its reconvened Special Meeting of Stockholders to February 12 at 4:00 p.m. ET, hosting it virtually for record holders as of December 12, 2025.

2. Netherlands Pipeline Hydrogen Fill

On February 4, the company completed the first hydrogen fill of a 32-kilometer pipeline in Rotterdam, delivering 32 tons of RFNBO-certified renewable green hydrogen via newly installed unloading and purging infrastructure.

3. German H2CAST Project Background

This milestone in the Netherlands builds on Plug Power’s H2CAST project in Germany, where over 44 tons of renewable hydrogen were delivered to a salt cavern storage facility earlier this year.

4. Portugal GenEco Electrolyzer Installation

In Portugal, Plug Power installed a 100MW GenEco electrolyzer at Galp Sines, designed to convert renewable electricity into up to 15,000 tons of renewable hydrogen annually, advancing Europe’s decarbonization efforts.
