PSNYPSNY

Polestar reported estimated Q4 2025 retail sales of 15,608 cars, a 27% year-over-year increase, and full-year volumes of 60,119 cars, up 34% from 2024. The EV maker expanded its sales network by over 50% and regained Nasdaq compliance after its ADS ratio change and sustained bid price.

1. Q4 2025 Retail Sales Surge

Polestar reported retail deliveries of 15,608 cars in Q4 2025, a 27% increase over the 12,256 units sold in Q4 2024. This marks the strongest quarter in the company’s history, driven by robust demand for the Polestar 2 and the launch of the Polestar 4 in key European markets. The sequential gain underscores successful inventory management improvements and the expansion of test-drive centers in Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands.

2. Full-Year Growth Tops 60,000 Units

For the full year 2025, Polestar delivered 60,119 vehicles, a 34% increase compared to 44,851 units in 2024. The gain outpaces the broader European EV market growth rate of 22% over the same period. Management attributes the outperformance to an expanded order bank of more than 80,000 reservations and a streamlined build-to-order process that reduced lead times by an average of three weeks.

3. Sales Network Expansion and Market Share Gains

Polestar grew its European sales network by over 50% in 2025 (excluding China), establishing 120 galleries and service centers across 15 countries. The enlarged footprint enabled Polestar to capture an estimated 3.8% share of the premium electric sedan segment in Europe, up from 2.5% in 2024. Market share gains were most pronounced in Germany (up 1.7 percentage points) and the Nordics (up 1.2 points), where the Polestar 2 remains one of the top-selling EVs.

4. Nasdaq Compliance and Upcoming Strategy Update

Following the ADS-to-ordinary share ratio adjustment effective 9 December 2025, Polestar received confirmation from Nasdaq on 23 December that its ADS closing bid exceeded USD 1.00 for ten consecutive business days, restoring compliance with Listing Rule 5450(a)(1). The company has scheduled a strategy update on 18 February 2026 at 13:00 CET (07:00 ET) to discuss product roadmaps—including the Polestar 7 launch timeline—and revised profitability targets for 2026.
