Pony.ai, Uber expand partnership to deploy 2,000-plus robotaxis across Europe

Pony.ai expanded its strategic partnership with Uber to deploy more than 2,000 robotaxis across Europe.

The rollout extends beyond the existing commercial service in Zagreb, with four additional European cities targeted in phased announcements.

The agreement also includes plans to expand robotaxi deployments into the Middle East.

Pony.ai will supply Level 4 autonomous driving technology, rider experience support and operational expertise. Uber will provide platform access for booking, payments and customer service, while local fleet partners may handle day-to-day operations.
