Pony.ai, Verne start fully driverless robotaxi test rides in Zagreb
PONY•Pony.ai begins fully driverless test rides in Zagreb
Pony.ai began fully driverless robotaxi test rides with passengers on public roads in Zagreb, a first in Europe.
Initial service runs a 22-kilometer route linking Verne’s headquarters, a business district, and Franjo Tuđman Airport Zagreb.
The move extends the company’s joint deployment model in Europe with Verne running operations and Uber providing platform access.
Verne’s commercial robotaxi service launched in early April has logged more than 200,000 kilometers with a 4.7 out of 5 rating.
Pony.ai targets a global fleet of more than 3,500 robotaxis by end-2026, supported by an overseas pipeline exceeding 4,000 vehicles.
