Leo criticized technology CEOs who argue there should be no guardrails on AI. He referred to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who had said safety concerns were overblown, and noted Huang had also discussed a way to add guardrails to some AI models.

Trump was due to meet technology executives on Tuesday to discuss AI. House Speaker Mike Johnson said the talks would seek a balance between innovation and oversight, warning that the United States could lose the AI race to China if it “hyper-regulate[s] this.”
