Portillo’s names Christopher Hansen executive chef, senior director of culinary innovation

Hansen most recently led U.S. culinary at Guzman y Gomez, where he drove culinary strategy, menu innovation and brand positioning.

Previously, he held corporate executive chef and business development roles at McIlhenny Tabasco Company. He also spent more than 15 years at OSI Industries, rising to assistant vice president.

Portillo’s named Christopher Hansen executive chef, senior director of culinary innovation, effective July 23, 2026.

The role covers culinary strategy, recipe development and menu innovation, with cross-functional work across marketing, operations and supply chain.
