Portillo’s Q2 FY26 net income drops 28.8% to $7.2 million; revenue rises 5.6% to $199 million

Portillo’s posted Q2 2026 revenue of $199 million, up 5.6% year over year, while same-restaurant sales fell 1.2%.
Net income dropped 28.8% to $7.2 million, as operating income slid 21.4% to $13.8 million.
Adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP measure, edged down 0.8% to $29.8 million; adjusted EBITDA margin narrowed 1 percentage point to 15%.
Restaurant openings and outlook
The company opened three restaurants in the quarter, lifting the total to 109, including its first airport location at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
Portillo’s maintained fiscal 2026 targets for adjusted EBITDA of $92 million to $96 million, with plans for 8 new units and capital expenditures of $55 million to $60 million.
